The Bakewell Pudding Parlour’s in-house bakery supplies our coffee shop and restaurant with fresh breads, homemade cakes, tarts, pastries and, of course, the Bakewell Pudding for which we are famous. Using traditional family recipes, we bake as many of our menu items as possible in our own in-house bakery, where we can be sure that we’re creating baked goods to the highest possible standard. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast, takeaway items for a picnic lunch in the local area, a sit down meal, or some afternoon tea treats, our bakery boasts a diverse menu with something to suit all tastes.
Our ovens operate 7 days a week so that we’re always able to supply our customers with the freshest treats all throughout the day. The Bakewell Pudding Parlour offers a wide range of foods, including our meat-filled pies, an extensive savoury selection, and plenty of options for vegetarians and those with other dietary requirements. As well as our homemade Bakewell Puddings, we’re also known for our thin and crispy stonebaked pizzas with a variety of toppings, making us one of the only places to enjoy an authentic taste of Italy in the town of Bakewell.
The Bakewell Pudding Parlour bakery is located at Wye House, on Water Street in the heart of Bakewell. You’ll recognise us by our traditional cream and stone facade and contrasting green accents, which are characteristic of the centre of Bakewell. One of the town’s most historic buildings, our bakery is located in the old Bakewell smithy, and while we have retained the original character of the building, we have also worked to transform the interior into the warm and welcoming bakery shop that it is today. We’re proud to offer our customers a tasty slice of Bakewell in one of the region’s most stunning historic structures.
When the Food Channel wanted to find out who made the best Bakewell Tarts, where else would they look other than The Bakewell Pudding Parlour!
Monster Munchies was a cookery show hosted by Matt Dawson and broadcast on the Good Food channel.
The Bakewell Pudding Parlour was challenged to make a mega Bakewell Tart within a 24-hour time limit, sourcing large quantities of ingredients and firing up industrial-sized ovens. Five local judges cast their eye over the enormous creations, and hundreds of local people ate the dishes when they were completed. Did we win the prize (of a Giant Wooden Spoon)?
